Exploring this website was actually pretty interesting. The training modules kind of just reviewed what we have learned in class about curriculum based measurements and RTI and showed how to use them with this system. While watching the progress monitoring video, I got a little lost trying to figure out how to balance what tests/assessments you are giving to help students meet their aim lines. I think it would help to actually administer one in real life. Exploring the teacher resources was the most beneficial, I think. My favorite part was actually getting to see the student and teacher assessment pages and how you can record them. Having it all organized and ready to use is really nice and I think would be nice in a school district to keep all teachers using the same assessments and keeping everyone on the same page. I hope that I get to work in a school district that implements tools like this, because it benefits both students and teachers by keeping things organized and consistent. I also realize that it will take a while before I am proficient in many of these areas. It will take time to get used to implementing these measures in the classroom, but using systems like this can make the transition easier.
